I am Zoé, a Greek-born photographer living in Paris. I came in Paris 13 years ago to study and to confront everything we face when living abroad.
I did my Master’s degree in sociology, then my bachelor’s degree and my Master’s degree in Photography and Visual Arts in Paris.
My specialization in photography was on reportage and photo agencies, and especially on Magnum Photos Paris and its photographers. I worked a few years at Magnum and it was and still is one of the most beautiful experiences of my life!
I cover weddings because I’ve always been the kind of photographer who likes to document what’s going on. To live the same event with different people and families accentuates my photographic approach and nourishes my sociological interest. I have always been intrigued by the idea of documenting everyday family life, by family albums and the way people tend to unconsciously stage their family photos in time, seasons and different visual trends. Which brings us to know why one of my favorite photographers is Jacques-Henri Lartigue.
